Just because you’re slaughtering the legions of Hell doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate the holiday season… by slaughtering more of the legions of Hell. Thus begins the Christmas-adjacent events that have kicked off in both Diablo IV and Diablo II: Resurrected, with a new event for the former and a returning event for the latter.

For D4 players, the new Midwinter Blight is upon them, opening up the earlier detailed holiday that tasks players with slaying event-specific demons and bosses, collecting materials, and bringing them back to craft currency needed to buy goodies. The event is on until January 2nd.

Meanwhile, D2R is bringing back the 22 Nights of Terror, which will once again apply new gameplay modifiers every 24 hours and promises “powerful loot, a dash of terror, and a new surprise to experience each day” between now and January 4th. This event works across all game modes except for classic Diablo II.
