NetEase’s team vs. team shooter Marvel Rivals is spreading its wings to new horizons, as the shooter has just announced that it will be making its way to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox X|S consoles when it launches, and it’s bringing some new goodies in tow when it does.

A recent gameplay trailer and related announcement from NetEase confirms the arrival of Venom and Adam Warlock to the roster, bringing the playable character count up to 19. The footage shows Venom as a suitably aggressive and ravenous assault force and Adam Warlock as a backline support character, along with some of the game’s environmental destruction and a first look at a new team-up attack mechanic that lets two characters join together to unleash powerful abilities.

The proliferation of the shooter to consoles is set to be tested in late July during a closed beta for PC, PS5, and Xbox X|S, which will not only feature the new characters but will also open up the game to more players and more regions, add a new Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands map, and introduce cross-platform play. More details are promised later, but fans can whet their appetite with the fresh gameplay video below.
