Past Fate adds ‘proper starting tutorials’ and makes a swamp zone ‘much more poisonous’

The swamps are swampier and the tutorials are more informative according to Past Fate, which continues its seemingly endless march through closed alpha with its latest patch that looks to be primarily about refining the current pieces of the sandbox MMORPG.

The Gulskir Swamps area has undergone an overhaul that’s intended to make it “look much more poisonous and deadlier than before,” while other zones have gotten some unspecified landscape improvements. The devs are also focusing on the early portion of the game, with the addition of what are being called “proper starting tutorials” and some early game polishing.

Other portions of the new alpha patch include some better visuals for quest givers and interactable objects, new item drops, slight UI improvements, and a few minor bug fixes. Overall this update appears to be continuing to spit-shine the game as it trundles forward to a projected early access launch sometime in the second half of this year.
