Corepunk’s preorder package includes only playtesting, early access, and the first season post-launch

Corepunk studio Artificial Core has release a new dev blog this afternoon homing in on “clarifications” about the game’s purchase terms. Notably the team says that the preorder will get players into the fourth alpha playtest, early access, and the first season of the game’s full release, called Light Bless the King.

“Future expansions are not included in the pre-order package,” the team warns. “Pre-orders grant you access to the game regardless of changes in price when we release. You won’t be charged again.” Folks not happy with that can email the studio for a refund, elsewise you’ll be getting your preorder keys starting next week.

Artificial Core further tells players in South America to hold off on buying Corepunk until it’s worked out a “regional pricing solution” for the region. It’s also promised to “add support for more ways to pre-order” the game around the world prior to the alpha 4 test, slated for August 6th.

The game’s Discord has been fairly snarky about the post, complaining that the devs didn’t address the length of seasons, expansion plans, or future testing. “What I needed is more info about next test,” one person shitposted. “Those clarifications were a poor people problem.” Yeah.
