A week after The War Within’s pre-patch, World of Warcraft still has the same bugs

The World of Warcraft pre-expansion patch for The War Within launched on July 23rd, and it launched with some pretty substantial bugs. The updated talent trees were not the talent trees on the expansion’s current test branch, the warbanks feature for account-wide storage wasn’t working, cross-realm trading wasn’t working, and so forth. As of this writing, Blizzard has decided to fix none of these issues whatsoever and has provided no sort of time expected to fix any of them.

While this is indisputably better than having these features being broken on the day of the expansion release, it should be noted that the expansion release is in less than a month. The most recent hotfixes for the game focused on a balance fix for Balance Druids rather than any update on these rather critical issues, and “getting used to the new features before the expansion launch” is ostensibly the reason to patch in new talent trees in the first place… a thing that appears to not be happening. On the plus side, this week should see the expansion prologue quest starting up, so that’s something (assuming no further bugs show up there).
