Elder Scrolls Online teases PvP-centric update 44 in roadmap at Gamescom

Elder Scrolls Online is having a big week: Not only did it just launch update 43 with its sweet home tours feature, but now it’s dropped an updated roadmap at its 10-year-anniversary event at Gamescom. Most of what’s en route is actually dungeons and events: ZeniMax Online Studios is running a dungeon-claim event and Gold Road-centric event in September, followed by an Xbox game pass perk promo, a home tours contest, and another dungeon event.

Content-wise, however, we are still looking at one more big update in 2024, and that’d be update 44, which is expected to center PvP gameplay. We don’t have a date yet, nor do we even have a date for the first look at the update, but the official stream does get an entry on the roadmap with a “date to be announced” teaser. The update, by the way, should also have the two new companions held over from Gold Road earlier this year, too. The playerbase is already busy debating what the PvP feature will actually be.

Meanwhile, the devs are continuing to celebrate the MMO’s 10th anniversary with meetups – the next set are in Milan on September 14th and San Diego on September 21st – and videos, including the new community video dropped today.
