Tarisland opens SilverLit Cup guild PvP tourney registrations, previews its Viking-inspired season

Tencent has dropped several new dev blogs for Tarisland over the last few days, including previews of Blight Dragon Elegy and its PvP tourney.

Let’s start with PvP: The tourney here is called the SilverLit Cup, and the registration period began as of last night. This event is aimed at guilds split into one or two teams of 10 or 12 people per team. Once the registration period ends – September 11th – Tencent will be setting up brackets to pit teams against each other through the finals. And there’s actual cash on the line here in addition to in-game winnings, though maybe just enough for a nice cosmetic bundle once it’s split 10 ways; the top three winning teams (teams, not players) net $1000, $800, and $500, respectively.

Meanwhile, Tencent has continued teasing its first season of proper PvE content, which launches in October. The latest preview piece examines the frigid Scardino Icefield, the hardy ancestors of the Northerners who founded cities there, and their transformation into ocean reavers in mean ships… OK, this is just Northern Europe, Tencent. We see what you did there.
