Digital Extremes has been buzzing about Warframe 1999 all year – and now you can finally check it out yourself thanks to the free demo that the studio has launched as of this afternoon.
“For the first time ever, go hands-on with a small bite of Warframe’s next narrative arc before its full launch,” the studio says. “[A]fter completing the Awakening and Vor’s Prize tutorial Quests, seek out a mysterious infested terminal in the main ship’s flight deck and blast through a small slice of Warframe: 1999. Map out a small slice of downtown Höllvania’s twisting alleyways as Arthur on his Atomicyle in a replayable Exterminate-style mission. Shoot and slice through a new enemy faction, the Scaldra, and their toxic goo weaponry tailored to take on the looming Techrot crisis.”
Warframe 1999 is launching later this winter, but if you complete the demo prior to the launch, you’ll pick up a longsword skin for your trouble.
Warframe’s Halloween event, Nights of Naberus, is also underway through October; new skins – a back piece, shoulder armor, and ship skin – are available on the market today in conjunction with the event.
