Destiny 2’s Halloween-y Festival of the Lost brings new weapons and sells a witchypoo outfit

Wizards hate this one trick for becoming a magic-wielding powerhouse! All you need to do is put on a floppy hat and bam – you’re a wizard. Or at least that’s the case in Destiny 2 as the Festival of the Lost Halloween event is back for another year, running from now until November 19th. Just ignore the fact that Guardians are already space wizards; it’s not official without the hat.

Much of this year’s event will be familiar, with players needing to don masks while battling through haunted sectors in order to earn seasonal currencies, eerie engrams, and manifested pages that need to be returned to the Book of the Forgotten for rewards, alongside the usual event card to fill out.

Those rewards include an all-new legendary shotgun, new perks for returning event weapons, new masks to collect, the returning superblack shader to unlock, and the ability to purchase exotic class items for those who own The Final Shape. Of course, the game’s cash shop has some spooky goodies as well, including evil wizard armor skins for Warlocks and Hunters and the good wizard skin for Titans. It’s all familiar but with new treats, as outlined in the patch notes.
