Look out, Star Citizen players! The latest update is going to kill you and make you drop all your stuff whenever that happens! Yes, technically that doesn’t mean that the game is definitely going to kill you, but considering the name of the update in question is “Deadly Consequences,” you can be pretty sure that the goal is your demise. Hope you enjoy it!
Don’t worry, the rest of this beta news is in and of itself non-lethal:
- Dysterra is taking signups for its next beta test kicking off on November 15th, if you want a new path to survival gameplay available to you.
- REVN is a third-person shooter MOBA-style game currently in free early access. If that sounds like your cup of tea, you’ve got a free in.
- Galahad 3093 has hosted open beta events not once, not twice, but now thrice. Yes, there’s another open beta to try out.
- Last but not least, Zenith is promising to let you be just as bad at cooking in the game as you are at cooking out of the game. How droll.
Equally non-lethal is our list of games in testing just below, a quick list of the games we know of in open or closed testing of some sort. Is something missing from the list? As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions.
