The good news for Final Fantasy XIV fans is that on Friday, you’ll get to start playing through the content available in the game’s newest expansion, Endwalker. The bad news is, well… there are quite a lot of fans who will be trying to play through the expansion, and that means some congestion. A new post on the official site explains that the team has done everything possible to mitigate these population issues, but between the still-ongoing player surge and the simple reality of an expansion launch, some congestion is still expected.

The post goes on to explain how the game’s login queue system works, as well as the queue system for instanced content when there is a high volume of demand for instanced battles. Ultimately, the recommendation and diagnosis is simply to be patient as the system works through the volume of players engaging in the content; just be aware that there will likely be some congestion no matter how you choose to play.
