Ghoulfriend.

First and foremost, it is important to note that no matter how much you might want to, you will not automatically be as insanely charismatic as Walton Goggins playing the Ghoul in the Fallout TV show just by playing a ghoul in Fallout 76. But if watching that show or just playing in the various games in the franchise makes you really want to be a ghoul? Well, you’re going to get your chance with the game’s next update, which lets you make your own nigh-on immortal semi-undead feral human creature. What could possibly go wrong? Other than giving into your feral urges, of course. Which leads to lots and lots of things going wrong.

Those of you who prefer to remain fairly standard human rather than a ghoul will still have plenty to do in the game’s next update, of course; there’s the new Gleaming Depths raid and new four-star Legendary equipment, which should really put the jingle jangle jingle in your spurs. (Jingle jangle.) Notably, this “raid” is the first of this scale in Fallout 76, but it’s basically a four-person dungeon. We’re certainly wondering how it’ll fare in a multiplayer game that famously still lacks text chat.

“In Gleaming Depths, descend into a mysterious underground research laboratory in the Ash Heap where the Enclave once studied radioactive Ultracite. Find out why the laboratory has been abandoned, squad up and face off against the beasts and bots that remain in the radiation-ridden lab in five punishing encounters. Bring your best friends, weapons, armor and lots of stimpaks because Gleaming Depths is not for the faint of heart. The final battle against the Ultracite Terror will truly test your mettle. But, with monumental risks come legendary rewards.”
