Yesterday brought the promised information livestream from Destiny 2 and its upcoming Act II update for the current Revenant episode, and sure enough, there were a number of reveals made, the first of which being the extremely near launch date of Tuesday, November 19th, for the new content.

The primary activity that will highlight Act II is the Tomb of Elders, which Bungie described as a revamped version of the Prison of Elders activity from the first Destiny.

The Tomb of Elders is a rougelike activity that tries to be “as variable as possible” with the objective of entering into combat rooms (aka cell blocks), clearing enemies and objectives, and generally trying to maintain a warden’s favor rating while navigating increased difficulty as a result; the more favor earned, the more loot players get, but modifiers can apply things like shorter objective time limits to ramp up the challenge.

The stream also granted a look at the next episode artifact and the tiers of buffs it will grant as players earn XP for it, provided a preview of two new fusion rifles, discussed mechanical changes like a buff to roaming super recharge times in PvE, and an upcoming collab with Street Fighter 6 that brings cosmetics, emotes, and finisher moves. The full broadcast can be watched below if you’ve got 45 minutes to burn.
