ZeniMax has a few last bits of PvP info to push out before The Elder Scrolls Online’s Thieves Guild DLC goes live in March. Of note, the studio is adding a weekend NPC to faction gates in Cyrodiil who will dispense elite items in exchange for AP or gold. Items include drops from 4-man dungeons, pledges, and Alliance War item sets. Sure to irritate you is the fact that the NPC will sell items from only one armor slot per week!
The upcoming Thieves Guild DLC will also reintroduce the currently disabled forward camps, deployable spawn locations that players can purchase and place. Limitations on how many camps and how close they can be placed will continue, they’ll decay faster, there will be a respawn timer, and you can’t cheese with respawn leaps.
As to campaigns,
“[T]he Azura’s Star and all non-Veteran Campaigns will feature a non-Champion ability ruleset as an added layer to the standard scoring rules. No changes will be made regarding how Campaign scores are tallied; however, in these campaigns no Champion System passive abilities will be available for use. You will still earn Champion Points; you just cannot spend those points while in those select Campaigns.”
Finally ZeniMax says that game performance in the Cyrodiil areas remains “one of [its] top priorities” and that it continues to optimize for the PC.
