Anything is a ship if you call it that.

Are you the best of the best when it comes to ship-to-ship combat in EVE Online? You’ll have your chance to prove how good you are in the upcoming 14th Alliance Tourney for the game, with 64 player alliances duking it out for the glory of victory. The matches for the tourney will be played in a double elimination format and require all eligible players to be in the alliances they’ll use to enter by 7:00 p.m. EDT on July 1st. More details will be forthcoming soon, as the actual tourney itself won’t kick off until November 5th.

Of course, you might not be quite up to entering a tournament at the moment to prove that you’re the best of the best. For example, you might be almost entirely new to the game. In that case, be happy that tomorrow’s update will include several improvements to the new player experience, including an improved set of Opportunities for new players with more engaging combat. So you can at least advance to being the best of the not-even-fully-invested-in-the-game crowd.
