Enough of living in shame and squalor, it’s time to rise and become an Iron Lord! Destiny: Rise of Iron is now live and kicking (unless you’re on one of the legacy consoles), bringing a whole new set of challenges and rewards with the game’s second expansion.
The expansion includes a new cinematic story campaign set in the Plaguelands, a six-player raid called Wrath of the Machines, and plenty of missions, quests, strikes, and gear. “[It’s]Â by far our most anticipated expansion for Destiny ever — and for good reason,” said Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg. “It’s packed with incredible new adventures that Destiny players are going to love.”
Bungie claims that Rise of Iron set “record-shattering pre-orders” leading up to its release. In addition to the expansion’s launch, Bungie also made Destiny: The Collection available for purchase today. This bundle includes the core game, its two expansions, and all DLC to date.
