Trove launches on the PlayStation 4 this week

While Trion Worlds announced earlier this year that its sandbox Trove would be coming to consoles by the end of 2016, the studio demurred to set a solid date for launch while the remaining time slipped away.

With less than a month to go on the calendar year, we finally have word that Trove will launch on the PlayStation 4 this week as a digital download, according to the official PlayStation blog. There is still no word on an Xbox One release date, but the PS4 launch might be a sign that its rival console will have it before too long.

The blog post gave Trove some positive promotion: “Grab your friends and set off for adventure in this free-to-play, voxel-based action MMO. Whether you want to battle deadly monsters, explore wild realms, build new worlds, or just show off your style, Trove’s got you covered!”
