Here’s how Guild Wars 2 players will go broke on Black Friday

Too hot (hot damn)
You know it’s coming. When the turkey and pumpkin pie meet their demise, the Black Friday sales will start. Guild Wars 2 fans will face a special temptation this year, thanks to plenty of tempting merch on For Fans By Fans.

The official merchandise store for the MMO offers t-shirts, plushies, bags, art prints, Path of Fire items, and the oh-so-essential Quaggan coffee mug. But you’ll want to hold off from buying right now, because from November 24th through the 27th, anyone who spends $50 or more in the store will get an in-game code for a random mini-pet in Guild Wars 2.

Switching gears a bit, some friendly community datamining turned up a small, unused island map for the recent expansion. While it’s not finished by any means, it is kind of interesting. Check it out on Imgur!

I brought the original game but neither of the expansions . A black friday reduction on Heart of Thorns would probably bring me back and a reduction on both expansions most certainly would .

I’d at least be marginally more excited if they were giving away free mount skins with a $50 purchase.

No just the bulk of the Mount Skins they’re too stubborn to make available out side of their ‘Grab Bag”, no worries though it’s only money I’m sure they’re swimming in it just like Blizzard.

YMMV, but I certainly don’t think ANet has a lot of money relative to its expenses. YMMV, but the latest quarterly revenue for ANet seemed disappointing to me.

YMMV? I was being sarcastic, truth is they could now pull in more sales by making these skins available for 600 to 800 each with no RNG involved because I and others like me holding out would spend if we had actual choices.

ANET doesn’t seem to worried about it though.

Ohhh. Thanks for the heads up. I bought a ranger hoodie and shirt from here a few months ago. Really good quality stuff.
