Stop him if you’ve heard this one: “Two quaggans were walking in a cow pasture. The first turns to the second and says, ‘Foo.’ The other replies, ‘Cows say moo.’ The first looks down at his flippers and says, ‘No, foo. Poo.'”

Thank you, thank you, Mad King Thorn will be here all week.

No really, Halloweeen has arrived today in Guild Wars 2 as the Shadow of the Mad King descends on Tyria with the best-worst jokes ever, through November 6th in fact. As we’ve previously noted, quite a bit of the old Halloween content is returning, but it’s the new stuff that has everyone’s attention – that’s the return of PvP Reaper’s Rumble minigame, Mad King’s Raceway, and some sweet new weapons. ArenaNet is promising to show off the new bits this Friday on Twitch.

The cash shop is also boasting a slew of new themey seasonal items, including my favorite: a chair that looks like a hay bale.

Meanwhile, ArenaNet is touting a new charity effort by players through the Guild Wars 2 Artist Collective: This one’s a Wintersday-themed zine (oh, zines, how I miss thee) dubbed Journeys and featuring the work of 76 artists.
