If you’re one of the World of Warcraft players eagerly awaiting more news about Shadowlands, you may be a bit nonplussed that the latest news appears to be another encrypted alpha build. But there’s some good news alongside this build because it’s also the first build to be completed and deployed following Blizzard rolling out its work-from-home policies. That means development is still continuing apace and the expansion is still rolling onward, even if there’s still nothing for dataminers to pick apart just yet.
In other news, the game has also rolled out a hotfix to the new Echoes of Ny’alotha currency implemented yesterday, which will no longer reward the currency from turning in Emissary quests. It’s not stated whether this is a temporary or permanent change, but as it was done to address a bug with turning in Unshackled emissary quests it’s most likely the former. Echoes of Ny’alotha were added yesterday as a currency to allow alts a chance to purchase rank 3 Essences for the Heart of Azeroth once they have been unlocked on another character.
In order to address a technical issue that's preventing players from turning in the Unshackled Emissary, we're going to have to remove Echoes of Ny’alotha as a reward from Emissary quests. We're working on doing that imminently.
