Just marking time after all.

If you’ve been eagerly looking forward to World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, this year has probably not been very calming. Also, if you live on the planet Earth, this year has not been calming, but the prospect of an expansion delay cannot have slipped anyone’s mind. But according to an interview with director Ion Hazzikostas transcribed on Wowhead, Shadowlands is still on track for release this year and the team has adjusted to the work-from-home portion of the development.

Obviously, this is not an actual date for the release, which is still up in the air, but as is clear from the ongoing testing and feedback it looks like the game’s expansion is still humming right along. The full interview also comes with a few more tidbits, like confirming that Blood Elves will not be able to shift to having blue eyes even with improved customization (that was the result of datamining, not an actual development plan). Check out the full thing if you’d like to know a bit more on the upcoming trip to the lands of the dead.
