DC Universe Online’s Wonderverse is now available, with its new raid, mission, and alert
As promised, DC Universe Online’s Wonderverse episode rolled out after hefty patching last evening. Daybreak’s Dimensional Ink Games has delivered a Wonder Woman-centric storyline, or maybe we should say Wonder Women-centric, since Wonder Women from multiple eras and timelines are featured. Don’t think about it too hard; this is supposed to be fun! Expect the new Patchwork Themyscira mission, Temples of Source Power solo content, Crypt of Penthesilea alert, and Fractured God Sphere raid, in addition to new loot and collectables.

“With the Source Wall cracked, multiple universes are merging into our own. Along with the new threats also come new allies: the Council of Wonder Women! Take up arms with Nubia, Flashpoint Wonder Woman, Red Son Wonder Woman, and more, face the Olympian Gods and the New Gods, and restore order before it is too late. Wonderverse features new daily and weekly Open World missions, raid-like world bosses, a brand-new Solo and Alert, as well as Normal and Elite versions of a new Raid! To play this content mode your character must be level 30 and have a minimum Combat Rating of 299. For a limited time, special ‘Event’ versions of all content for Wonderverse will be available to all players, level 10+ as well! Look for these Event versions in the Events tab of your On Duty menu.”

Those crazy kids even did a trailer and infographic. Enjoy!

The graphics on this seem really . . . basic.

Depends on whether you want the graphics to be closer to the movies or the official animations.

Since I prefer the animation style over the movies, it’s just fine with me.

(Well, I prefer the DC animations over the movies for other reasons too, starting with how the stories are simply better in the animations; IMHO, when put side by side, most of the movies are just overpolished turds while most of the animations are actually quite good.)
