EverQuest II’s GU 115: Reignite the Flames launches August 25

Blink and you’ll miss it: Daybreak dropped a teaser for EverQuest II’s GU 115: Reignite the Flames last night, and if this is the first you’re hearing of it, you’re not alone, as plenty of folks in the forums seemed surprised and you won’t find anything on game’s main website about it either. But in any case, it’s apparently the big update rolling out for EverQuest II on August 25th.

Daybreak’s teases showcase two zones, the Fabled Plane of War and Solusek’s Eye: The Calling, both clearly riddled with fire and lava. We hope you like the color red! Apparently, Fabled Plane of War’s content loadout will be “similar” to last year’s Fabled Kael Drakkel but not “exact.”

The studio says the open beta is already underway, but there seems to be confusion from players about that on the forums. “My understanding is the dungeon content is open but the raids are scheduled but I will confirm,” Daybreak CM Dreamweaver says. “You should just be able to download the beta client, make sure it’s updated and hop in. The new stuff isn’t locked, you may even be able to take a peak at the raids as well. The testing for them is scheduled but I’ve asked and they aren’t locked. The heroics are definitely open.”

Pretty pic time!
