Black-clad beastmen, a mysterious threat, and also the meta level of new story content in Final Fantasy XI should be more than enough to excite players about today’s patch introducing the next part of the Voracious Resurgence. Of course, there’s more to the latest update than that; the addition of Sheol C to Odyssey provides new materials for enhancing items, and there’s also the usual Records of Eminence and Ambuscade rotation to keep everyone playing and trying out new content. Oh, and there are new items to augment. That helps, too.
If you’re far too busy to read patch notes, though, there’s the new digest in video format alongside a whole threat for players to leave feedback. This particular update doesn’t contain much in the way of balance shifts beyond newly augmented items, of course, but it’s a fair bet players will have some thoughts about the new story to experience. Who wouldn’t?
