Betawatch: Fractured opens up a bonus playtest weekend

Not factored.

Here comes the weekend, and that means here comes Fractured. Any and all registered users can get in on the fun of a playtest this weekend, meaning that there’s plenty of opportunity for people to jump in and try out the current state of the game. Fun!

Other beta news this week may be less fun. Case in point:

Oof, sadness all around. Maybe the list just below can perk you up a little bit more? Or maybe you get perked up by the thought of letting us know if something wound up changing test status without us noticing, which you can tell us in the comment. Hey, everyone needs to find their own happiness.

As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions.

Yes, MMO gamers, you too can perform the unpaid quality-control work otherwise known as game testing! Check out Massively Overpowered’s Betawatch every week for a run-down of MMOs that are still on the road to launch, even if they appear to have set up a permanent residence in a shed called early access.

having bought and played quite a bit of legends of aria, Fractured already feels a lot better to play combat wise than aria ever did… definitely lots of room for improvement but still, feels promising.

I tried Fractured twice or thrice when there were beta tests and the world feels barren with no content whatsoever. Not the type of where you create your content, but the type where the developers are lazy and talentless and can’t muster up anything so they market their game as a Sandbox, because it’s easier that way and sheeple will still throw money at them.
