As promised, Warframe’s most recent devstream has offered a closer look at the game’s next content expansion known as Angels of the Zariman, which is due to arrive to players sometime this April with piles of new goodies for players.
The tentpole feature of this upcoming expansion is the titular Zariman, which will feature an all-new social hub called the Crysalith that will let players seamlessly access procedural missions without a loading screen. The hub will also feature a reputation system similar to the Necralisk on Deimos, an NPC that offers up optional side objectives to complete during missions, and some swanky looking apartments that players can customize. On the subject of missions, there will be three new mission types – Void Flood, Void Cascade, and Void Armageddon – that players can take up from the Crysalith.
The devstream also provided a sneak peek at Gyre, the new ‘Frame coming with Angels of the Zariman. More details about her are expected in the coming weeks, but expect a lot of lightning skills that will be “very different” from the equally electric Volt.
The last major point of interest for the April expansion is a reworking for Eximus and Focus, both with an eye on making the systems more refreshing and make missions more challenging. The reworks were so extensive that they even got their own developer workshop post to get into the nitty gritty.
Other highlights from the stream include a look at new weapons and cosmetics, Nightwave’s arrival on March 14th, and Garuda Prime and the game’s ninth anniversary, both of which are due on March 28th. There’s an overview post that runs down all of the things showcased in the stream, while the full video of the broadcast is below.
