Guild Wars 2 reiterates its GeForce compatibility, but there’s still no sign of a Steam launch

If you’re a big fan of cloud streaming MMOs and already have a juicy lineup on GeForce NOW, don’t forget about Guild Wars 2. ArenaNet reminded fans that the game can be played through NVIDIA at the tail-end of last week.

“No rig for Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons? No problem! You can play Guild Wars 2 on NVIDIA GeForce NOW, NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service. GeForce NOW members get the full PC gaming experience and can play with and against millions of other PC players at up to 1440p and 120 FPS—even on low-powered or incompatible devices.”

GW2 fans are still waiting on that long-promised Steam release, however. The Steam version with full crossplay was originally planned for November 2020, but ArenaNet put it all on hold specifically to work on End of Dragons “with the high quality you expect and deserve.” Of course, now that End of Dragons is out, we can’t help but wonder whether ArenaNet will make it a priority again and use this golden opportunity to rope in a bigger playerbase. In the meantime, you can wishlist it and remind ArenaNet that you want it.
