The Torchlight franchise just welcomed its newest member into the fold this week — but this one may not look and feel like the games that proceeded it.
Torchlight Infinite released into open beta early access, and, yes, typing all of those contradictory words made my eye twitch. In any case, this multiplayer-optional ARPG is out on Steam, Android, and iOS, and it won’t be wiped going forward. This version comes with six playable heroes, over 250 skills, and three expansive game chapters.
“Torchlight Infinite is a loot-based ARPG with lots of great loot to be found in the game,” said developer XD. “By choosing different traits, skills, talents, and gear, Hunters can create builds with different fighting styles and challenge powerful bosses to obtain a variety of loot. In addition to enhancing Hunters’ combat ability, loot can also be traded with other Hunters for resources.”
