Turkish sandbox MMO Quinfall delays closed beta to January 2024

We’ve been keeping an eye on The Quinfall – the self-described “biggest MMORPG universe in the world” – since its debut earlier this year, but thus far the MMO-playing userbase hasn’t actually gotten its collective hands on the self-funded sandbox MMO. As of last summer, we were still expecting a closed beta by the end of the year, and over the last few weeks, Turkish studio Vawraek Technology has been dropping info about expanding is testbase and roster of character classes.

Well, we have an update, and it’s a bit of good news/bad news. The good news is that there’s a date for closed beta! The bad news is that it’s been pushed off into 2024.

“The release date of the game has been slightly delayed because some content had to be revised in line with the feedback of our players,” the studio says. “Now, however, it’s time to share a definite date. The closed beta version of The Quinfall project will be released on Steam for selected players on 30 January 2024. Let us remind you again that Closed Beta processes will take place in short periods. So, shortly after 30 January, all our players are planned to experience the game.”

Vawraek further promises gameplay videos to bolster its marketing – and our patience. Test signups are apparently being done through Google Docs, and is a bit odd, as it asks for everything from your real name and age to your college and major to your city, which doesn’t seem particularly relevant to MMO testing.
