One Shots: A beacon for a new year

Welcome to 2024 everyone! Please put your carry-ons safely underneath your seats, secure your kobold companions, and don’t hesitate to light a big ball of fire to bring cheer and combustibility to all those around you!

I see that Rose is ahead of the curve: “Gonna be a rebel and give y’all a desert scene from Black Desert. I’ve come to really enjoy playing my Maegu, and I guess that tracks since I’ve been maining Maehwa since 2016. I can still tell people I play ‘Mae’ and it will be slightly less confusing.”

“I caught a concert and line dancing in Frostbluff two days after Christmas,” shared Bel. “I love the community in Lord of the Rings Online.”

I’m always so pleased when my in-game character can actually dance, because there’s no way that I would ever be that graceful, especially carrying 50 pounds of weapons on my back.

“Bit of a quiet week for me adventuring and screenshotting-wise, so I’ll just bid everyone Happy Holidays and leave you with this shot of Kilima Village’s Frostide tree in Palia,” said Katriana.

And I just had to share this vista from Elder Scrolls Online’s Eastmarch with you guys. I loved it so much that I made it my desktop wallpaper. Sorry kids, but dad loves in-game scenery more!

And this week’s list of One Shot Achievement Points:

  • Commenter [5 OSP] — Comment on someone’s submission.
  • Artist [10 OSP] — Post a screenshot and story of your recent MMO adventures.
  • Tavern Time [15 OSP] — Post a screenshot of your favorite in-game watering hole, tavern, inn, or bar!
Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
