Good and big.

Ever since Gigantic made its bumpy return, developer Abstraction has been attempting to provide the TLC our PvP columnist Sam feels it seriously needs. It’s that focus on fixing bugs and crashes that headlines the MOBA’s latest patch, which attempts to run over several problems for all versions of the game.

The hotfix zeroes in on what Abstraction calls “pressing issues” such as multiple crashes across all platforms, ending invincible bots, UI problems such as incorrect match history or friend stats display, and a variety of description updates. The patch also made a minor fix to one of the skills for the character Wu.

The update post also notes that a content patch is coming soon to fix a PS5-specific crash, followed by another update that adds the long-awaited ranked mode and promised new skins for Margrave and Grismela. An estimate of when these patches will release isn’t provided, but the studio did state that more content updates will arrive once it feels the game has become more stable.

Checking on the game’s overall reception, we find that there are “Mostly Positive” reviews on Steam. As for player concurrency on the platform, that has completely tanked since its launch, though it should be noted that Gigantic has released on practically every platform out now and has crossplay to boot, so take those numbers with that in mind.
