This past weekend saw a Heidel Ball presentation premiere for Black Desert Mobile, and as fans might expect, there were a few reveals for the game’s immediate future, headlined by the arrival of the new Dosa class aka the Smokemancer. That’s our name for it, not Pearl Abyss’s.

“Dosa, the Summoner of Warriors of Fog, finally debuts in Black Desert Mobile. This highly anticipated male class wields the formidable ‘Hwando’ sword as his primary weapon and a cloud-conjuring ‘Gombangdae’ pipe as his sub-weapon. With his unique ability to shroud the battlefield with fog, Dosa can obscure his enemies’ vision and then strike decisively with his powerful blade.”

Just like its PC counterpart, the Dosa uses the fog he summons from his pipe to confound enemies and summon various shades of warriors to attack them, paired with swift and agile strikes from his blade. The Dosa is set to land in BDO Mobile tomorrow, July 30th, but a preview of the class in action awaits below.

Also coming on July 30th is the launch of a new summer season server, which promises accelerated leveling for characters created on it. Hitting the level cap on the server will grant characters various rewards including unique glyphs that grant stat bonuses, while daily quests will grant even more goodies. The server will remain open between July 30th and September 24th.

As for content features scheduled for the next two months and beyond, players can expect to see a PvPvE survival mode that pits up to 10 teams together into one arena, two new monster zones, merchantry’s expansion into the Valencia region with new rewards to match, some server merges for Korean servers, and the Castle of Nightmares guild activity that pits player teams against formidable bosses. Details and dates for everything coming down the pike await on the website.
