Feel that chill in the air and scent of pumpkin spice? That’s Halloween coming to take over all your MMORPGs for the next few weeks. And up next is Classic EverQuest with its long-running Nights of the Dead event. Daybreak has clearly added to the festival this year, with new “sinister” housing items, metamorphs, and even a new illusion.
“The Nights of the Dead event has rolled in like a dense fog on a cool, autumn evening! To get this monster mash started, head over to the Plane of Knowledge and find Zigan Ribshard, Edmund Strangeways, and Illis Taberish. These three spectre-tacular NPC’s are dead-icated to getting you on the right path for this year’s event. Plains of Karana will also have some creepin’ content by way of a frightful witch who is wreaking havoc for the farmers. On top of that, Minda and Tukk need help once again with a hair-raising problem.”
EQ’s Nights of the Dead runs through November 5th.
EverQuest II, on the other hand, is a bit busy with the ongoing Scars of Destruction beta test (and impending 20th anniversary), but it actually heralded the start of its own spooky season at the top of the month, complete with a themed raid and cuties for the Year of Darkpaw. Technically, its Nights of the Dead isn’t live yet (traditionally, it kicks off a little later in October), so stay tuned for that.
