Are you a farmer or a fighter? Well luckily in the Viking-themed multiplayer colony management survivalbox ASKA you can be both, especially considering the title’s newly released Farmers and Fighters update introduces ways for players to be… well, farmers and fighters. It’s pretty straightforward if we’re honest.
The centerpiece of the new update is the ability for players to assign villagers to a militia, which will rush to the defense of a colony when it’s under attack and marshal themselves to a specific location when a mighty war horn is blased. Crafting these horns is done by finding horned smolkr, so players should pay attention because there will also be hornless smolkr wandering the wilds now too.
As for the farmers among player colonies, the update introduces a seasonal crop rotation mechanic and the ability to automate crop rotations as well, alongside new deeds and rewards. Speaking of deeds, there are also new customization options for tribal leaders that can be unlocked by completing certain deeds.
Other features of the update include the ability to mount wall torches in caves as well as new iron deposits in caves, Steam cloud save functionality, some new UI features, and a variety of bug fixes. The update has been briefed in a dev vlog waiting below and there’s the usual patch notes waiting too. And don’t forget to check out some first impressions from MOP’s Andy if you haven’t already.
