The spooky season might seem like it begs for an update called something like “Revenant,” but this particular patch for EVE Online is going live on November 12th. But the thought of it might still be sufficiently spooky for players based on the latest preview, which shows off the new Mercenary Dens that utilize skyhooks around temperate planets. But you don’t need to have control over the system to deploy them, making them potential powder kegs of conflict wherever they show up.

Players will also have access to the new Tholos destroyer and Cenotaph battlecruiser, designs from the Deathless that utilize the SCARAB boarding pod to wreak havoc on enemy ships from within. If you’re eager to know more about these new additions – either because you can’t wait to use them or they just feel a bit spooky – check out the full preview video just below to get a glimpse of how the systems will work.
