The previews for Warframe’s newest update have focused on the fact that the update sees players team up with six individuals fighting against a horrifying infection in Hollvania who have themselves been turned into Protoframes. What they have not focused on is the fact that players will be serenaded by a made-up boy band while doing so. But that is the case, and it’s all part of the game’s most ambitious narrative update yet… something you can try out for yourself with Warframe: 1999.
Of course, it’s not just about exploring new romance options with the six members of the Hex (yes, really) or listening to fake boy band music. It’s also about taking on new mission types fighting against corrupted tanks or clearing hell-scrubbers, playing new arcade minigames, and collecting new cosmetics, upgrades, and weaponry.
