Back in February and then August 2024 before that, we covered a new Bohemia-published multiplayer survivalbox called SkyVerse. It was one of the standout multiplayer titles from last year’s Gamescom for me. Developed by Enjoy Studio, the game had a distinctly voxely Minecraft vibe, the now-common “airship” survival motif, and lots of co-op play. By February, the devs were hinting at a Kickstarter too. And now, we’re learning that actually, the game is getting a rebrand… to Everwind.
“Bohemia Interactive and Enjoy Studio are delighted to introduce Everwind, the next chapter in the development of their highly anticipated open-world adventure, previously known as SkyVerse. The rebranding marks a bold new step forward as the team continues to refine the game’s vision and direction. To mark this milestone, the studios have released a brand-new teaser gameplay trailer, which offers a fresh look at the world of Everwind.”
The companies say that the rebrand is a “clear signal that the team is more committed than ever to delivering a world-class experience for players.” But Enjoy Studio CEO Michal Baraniak makes clear that the name change was really the product of a trademark application dispute the studio decided to avoid.
The devs are apparently still planning on launching that Kickstarter; it’s coming by the end of the month. In the meantime, you can follow it on Steam.
