It’s only a few days until the newest Final Fantasy XIV fan festival kicks off in Las Vegas, so you would imagine that the team would do nothing but be talking up sizzle about the event, right? And you could argue that’s what the latest video is about… except only in a roundabout way. It’s not about pounding music or teases at reveals. It’s about the community that’s formed around the game after five years of operation.

And it’s not about crowd shots or simply stats (although stats are in there for those who enjoy them); it’s about fan favorites, about Haurchefant cosplayers pantomiming death animations, about fanart of important NPCs as Namazu, and about friendships and bonds formed in the game carried out of the game. In short, it’s a celebration of the community behind the game that pretty much even brief players talk up. Check out the whole video just below to get a sense of what that means.
