Battle Bards Episode 122: Happy town

In peaceful villages and bubbly burgs, you just know that there’s bound to be an abundance of happy music! Whenever the Battle Bards regroup to lick their wounds and drink the terrors away, they often find that happy town music is perfect to soothe jangled nerves and re-center one’s heroism. There’s plenty of those tunes in today’s episode, so recoup with them as they listen to the songs of the common folk.

Battle Bards is a bi-weekly podcast that alternates between examining a single MMO’s soundtrack and exploring music tracks revolving around a theme. MOP’s Justin co-hosts with bloggers Steff and Syl. The cast is available on iTunesGoogle PlayTuneInPocket CastsStitcher, and Player.FM.

Oh, good. It is Battle Bards time again.

“Village Theme 3!” LOL! Oh yes. I think anybody who ever spent any time in ArchAge knows that little ditty.

Taken alone, Village Theme 3 is like eating spoonfuls of sugar, sweet but not appetizing. But listen to it while doing mundane work, and the tune is two cubes of sugar in your cup of coffee.

I tried not to like Village Theme 3. It was the dominant tune in a village area where I spent a lot of time crafting. When entering the area for the first time I found the music annoying. But as my skill grew in crafting and I had to spend more time there, I caught myself tapping my foot and humming along. It turned into my crafting song.

Now, it is a fond memory. And there aren’t many of those due to AAs other debacles.

Keep up the good work guys. I’m glad you are the only podcast of this type. Lol. A one-stop shop to nerd out on music in MMOs.
