Guild Wars 2 is working on multiple fixes and features for the new warclaw mount

It’s a big week for Guild Wars 2 since Super Adventure Box today. But that’s not all the studio’s working on. MMO gamers will recall that just a few weeks ago now, ArenaNet released the warclaw mount to incentivize WvW play, and then it released some skins. Now it’s released a forum post outlining what’s been tweaked so far and what is left to be done to work out the kinks of the mount.

Game designer Ben Phongluangtham says that it’s already fixed the getting-stuck-on-your-mount bug, as well as removed the ability for mounts to be stealthed. In the short term, the team is also planning on removing the little jump you do when you dismount from the ‘claw (it was being used to exploit).

“We know there are still several areas people can break in to keeps/towers or otherwise get to places you shouldn’t be able to,” he cautions. “If you find one, please don’t post them on the forums. You are welcome to send them to me in a PM here or discord. We’ll be fixing these as we find them. Many will probably be able to be fixed whenever we find a fix for the other ways to jump upon dismount.”

Further off on the horizon, ArenaNet is apparently working on a dismount trap, a dismount trick, a “new mounted skill to dismount other mounted players,” and maybe (“it’s still a big if”) break-bars if the UI cooperates, meaning crowd control would be in play against these big cats.
