Misty.

We’re barreling on toward the end of Guild Wars 2’s fourth living story season with the War Eternal episode launching… well, we don’t know exactly, but it seems likely soon, what with Super Adventure Box winding down this Thursday.

Along the way, ArenaNet has been dishing out the earlier episodes of the season as cash shop freebies. So far, Daybreak, A Bug in the System, and Long Live the Lich have been offered up as zero-cost claims in the cash shop. In fact, today (Monday) is your last day to grab Long Live the Lich. Tomorrow, A Star to Guide Us hits the shop.

“If you haven’t visited Tyria for a while, welcome back! It can be overwhelming to start catching up, or to know what you’ve missed—so to help you get up to speed on Living World Season 4, we’ve got livestreams, guides, and free or discounted items in the Gem Store, focusing on one episode per week. This week we’re tackling the fourth episode of the season, A Star to Guide Us.”

Do note that while you don’t need to own any expansions to claim these episodes, you do need Path of Fire to actually play them. We presume this’ll be the last such promo, since episode five is currently available for free right now anyway, just for logging in.

Just a heads up, your title has the wrong episode number in it, A Star To Guide Us is episode 4 not 3.

I know so many people that have left GW2 for ESO.

Yes, I have tried to go back to GW2 a number of times over the past few years. But, I just cannot get into it anymore.

* ESO action combat is better than GW2
* ESO level scaling is better than GW2
* ESO world design is better than GW2
* ESO skill systems are better than GW2
* ESO has much less focus on jumping puzzles than GW2
* And so forth.

About the only thing I absolutely do not like about ESO is the damned Guild Trader system and the lack of a centralized auction house / market. The ESO Guild Trader system just stinks to high heaven.

Just my opinions, of course. I am sure lots of folks still love and play GW2, and good on them! There is room enough for everyone’s tastes in MMOs to be satisfied!

Both game fashions are a bit dissapointing but ESO is better.

I feel the exact opposite. I much prefer GW2’s combat, movement and just about everything over ESO. GW2 also has gliding and the best mount system of any game to date. I’d still be playing it if ArenaNet would take class balance more seriously.

Tbh jumping puzzles are not a thing in ESO most likely because of utterly horrible jumping lol. Also, don’t understand the hate JP get, it’s completely optional content that can be skipped with the help of mesmers if you really want to get everywhere just for the sake of completion. No one forces you to do them, just ignore them, no? It’s not like every piece of MMORPG absolutely has to be loved by every player.

I’m just killing time in ESO atm, can’t play my main until Necromancer is available when I make a Bone Tyrant. Used to be a Minion Master Reaper in GW2.
