This summer, Wargaming and Mad Head Games have been focused on their roadmap for upcoming OARPG Pagan Online, an “intense action RPG” featuring a pre-Christian mythological setting and MOBA inspirations. And as of today, we have a date for the final product: August 27th. That’s when the game will depart early access and enter the wilds of launch – with the accompanying $29.99 pricetag reflecting what Wargaming calls a “premium title” and service that will continue to see content and gameplay updates post-release. Do note, you can pick up the game cheaper ($19.99) on Steam right now.
According to the devs, the launch will include a full story campaign with eight acts, click-to-move controls and controller support (by popular demand), two additional player toons (a dual-wielding ice construct and a fire scrapper), the fabled weapons system, new skill trees, revamped crafting and loot, and extra endgame content.
Our own Not So Massively columnist sampled the game’s early access this spring, finding it polished and fun – and problematic only in its unlock system. “If that issue can be sorted, this will be a game I’d be happy to give my unvarnished recommendation to,” he wrote. “Unlock mechanics aside, Pagan Online is pretty dang fun.”
