Yesterday, we covered the news that Perfect World Entertainment is finally enabling account linking between Steam and Arc, its proprietary platform for distributing all of its MMOs here in the west. But we were forced to note that the Arc announcement included Neverwinter and Star Trek Online, but not Champions Online (it’s not mentioned on the official site either) or any of PWE’s other titles. It even prompted Twitter jokes that even PWE had forgotten Champs and had once again exacerbated the prevailing, though unfair, belief that Champs is in maintenance mode. (It’s not!)
Well, good news, superheroes: Somebody at PWE remembered you after all, and the Steam link will work for you now too.
Starting this week, you'll be linking your Arc Account to your Steam Account – Steam users will only have to log in once to play!https://t.co/Cl0jRA1OjR pic.twitter.com/LAesmyYCtQ

“We know one of the frustrating pain points of playing our games on Steam is having to log in at least twice just to play. We want to make that whole process easier for you, so on February 18 we will be enabling Steam Account linking for Neverwinter, Star Trek Online, and Champions Online. This will only roll out to a small amount of users at first, but should be available to all users by February 20th. Starting tomorrow, you’ll be required to link your Steam Account to your Arc Account. Once you’ve done that, you can launch both games directly from Steam. Just press Play, and you’ll be logged into your Arc account automatically.”
