It feels like it’s taken a really, really long time for the first content patch to arrive for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. That would be because it has taken a really long time; specifically, it’s going to be right around eight months before release when all is said and done. But the patch is finally releasing on June 29th, and you know that the date here is being completely fixed in stone because the patch’s pre-release download is now available on the game’s client to get you ready.
Of course, that’s not to say that you won’t have to download anything when the patch itself arrives, but you’ll have to download far less if you get everything pre-loaded before the patch day. And, heck, it’s just nice to see the forward momentum after all of the wait for features like the changes to the Maw, the extended covenant campaign, and flying in the Shadowlands, right?
