The Daily Grind: Do you prefer costumes over transmog in MMOs?

Fight me, coward.

You know what’s an interesting feature that both Elder Scrolls Online and Guild Wars 2 share? They both offer two different approaches to dressing up your character cosmetically. You can go the traditional transmog route by altering the looks of specific pieces of gear, or you can eschew that to slap on a full costume.

I used to be much more in the piecemeal transmog camp, but these days I’m finding myself warming to costumes. They’re quite the no-fuss option and help me look good without spending hours fine-tuning my wardrobe.

Where do you lie on this issue? Are you more of a piecemeal transmog player — or a no-fuss costume wearer? Or are you an anarchist and run around with your actual gear visuals?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
