Regular players of Diablo III were likely already aware that Season 30 would begin de facto maintenance mode as the OARPG would begin re-running past seasonal themes by then. We now all know just when – and what theme – will be happening for Season 30.
The next season begins on Friday, January 12th, and will bring back Season 25’s Lords of Hell theme, which lets players infuse their seasonal characters with the power of one Prime and one Lesser Evil via soul shards. There’s also the usual goodies to get from Haedrig’s Gift, the seasonal journey, and seasonal conquest.
On top of Season 25 Part Deux, Season 30 will make the Rites of Sanctuary and Visions of Enmity seasonal themes a permanent fixture of the game, though the boons offered by altars of rites have seen some adjustment to account for all of the other seasonal power in the game. There will also be some class balance adjustments and feature changes on top, so fans will probably want to read the patch notes for all of the details.
