Destiny 2 previews a new activity, new glimmer cap, customization updates, and Halloween costumes

Destiny 2 is once again back to its regularly scheduled weekly newsletters after a holiday-length hiatus, and this week’s edition is looking forward to the near and far future – specifically as near as January 30th and as far ahead as Halloween. Which gives me perfect reason to keep my singing pumpkin lights up. Not like I needed Bungie’s permission anyway.

An update scheduled for Tuesday, January 30th, will introduce a new Season of the Wish activity known as Raven’s Wishes, a weekly pursuit that players can complete to select a prize from a pool of rewards for six straight weeks, as well as the start of the Moments of Triumph event and a maximum glimmer cap raise to 500,000.

As for the game’s somewhat distant future, Bungie plans on allowing players the ability to change their character’s appearance from the character select screen without any cost or restriction, with the only limits being players can’t change their archetype or their race. On the subject of cosmetic matters, an update in March will also reset all of the synthweave bounties to allow for additional transmoging.

Finally, Bungie is asking for player input on what cosmetics should arrive when the shooter’s Festival of the Lost Halloween event goes live later in the year. The choices this time around are simple: good wizard or evil wizard. And yes, every class will be getting a floppy hat.
