One Shots: Who left the lights on?

As a dad, I am perhaps consumed by a drive to make sure that all of the lights in the house are off when a room is unoccupied. Even when I’m in a game, I can’t turn off that thought as I look at eternally burning torches, conveniently glowing crystals, and chandeliers blazing away at 55 feet above the floor. Who lights those things? And why don’t they ever turn them off?

Eh well, maybe we can leave that up to Katriana: “Here are some glowy lamps hanging from the ceiling of a cave in Itzel territory of Verdant Brink in Guild Wars 2.”

You know what? I think Ardra Diva found the fire-lighter in Lord of the Rings Online! I mean, when you’re made of always combusting skin, you might as well spin that into a career somehow. Need a pilot light lit? Have a bonfire set up and ready to go? Give this character a call!

Hikari photo-documented the final days in The Wagadu Chronicles. Rest in peace, you crazy weird ambitious African-themed MMO!

“Here is my vampire Duchess looking our from her fourth floor balcony in V Rising,” said IronSalamander8. “I didn’t see a ‘hide UI’ option anywhere, but did turn off the V blood tracking to avoid that red trail showing up.”

I got your back with some judicious cropping. Vampires can’t turn off the UI because it’s in the mirror.

I’ll wrap things up with a look at LOTRO’s new crypt area underneath Umbar. Put in some tracks and an omnimover system, and this could be the next Disney theme park ride!

Hey! You got the good stuff? I mean, the really good stuff? Uncut pure screenshots from MMOs? Ahh, that’s going to hit so well. We’ll pay you (in compliments) in the comments for your whole supply.

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
