One Shots: When the cuteness dug too deep

In this past week’s adventures, Utakata claimed to have plumbed the great depths and mysteries of Khazad-dûm… with a mouse-person. I don’t remember that chapter in Lord of the Rings, but it’s a very big book and I’m bad with reading, so who knows?

In any case, whatever lies in the shadows is unprepared for the fierce nightmare that this lil’ adventurer is about to unleash.

Katriana is playing tourist once again in Guild Wars 2, only without the extra gift shop purchases. Or wait, is that what the gem store is supposed to be? In that case, get me something tacky that’s made out of seashells!

“This week I offer this view of the Wizard’s Tower, taken from some little island off to the side.”

“Did I put my Ylands boat together backward with the helm in the front facing the back?” Bree asked. “Yes. But does the boat drive backward? Also yes. And did I immediately try to fix it and fail and now I ride a failboat? Again, yes. I guess I gotta build a new boat. Ironically, this wasn’t even my first boat; I accidentally built my first boat while standing at the top of a cliff, and when I was frantically trying to put it somewhere, I literally fell to my death and the game took all the resources but gave me no boat. And then I had to trudge back to my corpse. I am Very Good at survival games.”

When you haven’t smiled for a while, take a detour in Lord of the Rings Online to hang out with Bingo Boffin and his many bizarre friends and relatives. Here’s his extended family who are, for the most part, not willing to go on any adventures.

Giant robots drinking coffee: This is why we have this column.

“Back to Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2,” said IronSalamander8. “At the final capture point for Zombopolis, the giant worker robot has a mug. With ‘I Love Brains’ on that mug. It’s little details like that which adds to why I still love this game, and still play.”
