As promised, Neverwinter is getting a fiery new update today in the form of Mountain of Flame, officially live simultaneously on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox as of this afternoon.

“This major update for the free-to-play Dungeons & Dragons MMORPG brings back the Mount Hotenow Adventure Zone – originally introduced when Neverwinter launched in 2013,” the studio explains. “With the return of this adventure zone, adventurers will discover the zone has been completely revamped and re-populated, making Mount Hotenow bigger and better than ever before. This re-imagined zone brings back a classic dungeon, the Lair of the Mad Dragon, in a whole new way as all the monsters and bosses within the dungeon have been reworked.”

The module also includes quality-of-life updates to the guild log, guild and alliance management, guild coffers, and companions. In fact, there’s a new companion, Eric the Cavalier, who is apparently based on the character from the 1983 Dungeons & Dragons cartoon TV series. And naturally, there’s a new battle pass launching alongside the update.
